Since 1935 the society has organized the annual Italian-American festival in Newton. We bring together our Nonantum community along with many surrounding communities to celebrate our traditions and heritage at an event attended by over 10,000 people annually.

Entertainment

Live bands are scheduled for every night! The band schedule is listed in the poster above. Opening acts begin at 6:00 PM and headliners begin at 8:00 PMBring a chair for the best view of the stage or watch from inside the Fabrizia Beer & Wine Garden, directly adjacent to the stage.

Food and Drink

Beer and Wine: When you enter the park continue straight ahead. The Fabrizia Beer and Wine Garden is stage-right, with a view of all performances. Fabrizia Beer & Wine Garden Hours: Wednesday-Sunday 6PM-11PM.

Be sure to stop by Fatty’s Raw Bar – calamari and shrimp available for the 90th! Fiesta Shows will also have carnival style food available.

Carnival Rides and Games

Fiesta Shows hosts carnival rides and games Wednesday-Saturday from 5PM-11PM and Sunday from 4PM-11PM.

Discounted ride prices are offered on Wednesday and Thursday. Unlimited ride passes are available from the Fiesta Shows website for a $5 discount or can be purchased at the park. There is NEVER a charge for admission!

Sunday / Procession

8:00 AM Mass with readings and music in Italian at Our Lady Help of Christians Parish (573 Washington St). 

Sunday Afternoon Procession: Begins at 2:00 PM from Our Lady and heads north on Adams St. The procession then turns right on Watertown St, right on West St, left on Middle St, continuing on to Chapel St, right on Watertown St, right on Cook St, Right on Green St, left on West St, right on Middle St, continues on to Lincoln Rd, right on Crafts St, right on Clinton St, left on Hawthorn St, and ends at Pellegrini Park. The afternoon procession typically takes around 2 hours (arriving at the park around 4:00 PM) but fluctuates based on the number of stops made along the way.

Sunday Night Procession: Leaves Pellegrini Park at 10:00 PM travelling Watertown St from Hawthorn to Adams and heads south on Adams St to Our Lady’s Church where the Flight of the Angel will take place. After the angel flies, follow the procession into the church for Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament and Closing of the Feast.

Scholarship Fund Raffle

Raffle tickets supporting future scholarships will be on sale at the Scholarship Raffle Tent, located inside the park along the Hawthorn St fence as you enter. 

This years grand prizes are a 7 night cruise for 2 on Princess Lines and $1,000 in cash. Additional prizes include Red Sox tickets, and multiple gift cards and baskets.

The drawing will be held on Sunday, July 20th at 8:30 PM. You do not need to be present to win. Raffle winners will be announced at the park and then posted on our website on Monday, July 21st.

Misc. Info

Triduum Prayer Service/Rosary: Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at Our Lady’s Church starting at 7pm. Please note the change in start time (30 minutes earlier
than previous years).

Lake Gear: Adjacent to the Scholarship Raffle Tent, pickup your Lake shirts and more in support of the NCCPA

Lost and Found: Visit Fiesta Shows customer service at the park or contact Fiesta Shows.

Pets: Unfortunately, due to city regulations and permit requirements, we are only able to welcome service animals inside of Pellegrini Park.
