Shortly after the founding of the St Mary of Carmen Society, members raised approximately $900 to pay a Boston artist to sculpt what is now our priceless Saint. For 87 years this same statue has traveled the streets of Nonantum on the third Sunday of every July.
Today, our beloved Saint was scanned by 3D Scansmith to create detailed computer generated images and plans to ensure the statue can be enjoyed for many generations to come.
